Is there a fee for parking?


What type of parking is available?

Permit Parking and Meter Parking are available. Click here to see available location.

Is parking free at any time?

Yes. Parking is free in all spaces on Saturdays,Sundays and on the following designated Metro-North Railroad Holidays: (New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Day after, and Christmas Day).

When do free parking start and end?

Free parking begins from 12:01AM – Saturday Morning to 11:59PM – Sunday Evening.

How do you pay for parking?

There are two methods to pay for parking: Meters (Electronic or Pay by Phone) & Permits.

When and where do you pay for parking?

Meters are paid after you park your car and have obtained your space number. There are signs in the lots that will direct you to the parking pay station.

How long can you park at a meter space?

Cars can be parked at a meter between 1 and 31 days.

How do the lot attendants know that a parking space is paid for?

Electronic Meters: The attendant obtains an enforcement report from the machine. Slot Boxes: The attendant checks the back panel for paid spaces.

Do you have to put the meter receipt in you car or give it to someone to leave the lot?

No, it is for your own personal record.

How do No Metered Parking Before 9AM spaces work?

The spaces indicated are not available for meter parking until 9AM.

Can No Metered Parking Before 9AM be used for long-term parking?


When parking long-term, are weekends included in the number of days entered into the meter?

Yes. The Electronic Meter automatically deducts any “free days” from your charge. When using a Slot Box, you should deduct weekends and/or holidays from the total. Click Here for Meter Instructions.

What happens when there are no metered spaces available at a station?

When there are no metered spaces available at a station, customers can call 1-888-682-PARK and speak to a customer service representative that will help them to determine a nearby location with available space for future trips.

What is the penalty for not paying the meter?

The customer can receive a parking notice.

What happens if the meter runs out before the car is removed?

The customer can receive a parking notice.

What is the process for repayment on a meter refund slip?

The customer can call 1-888-682-PARK or mail in their slip to: LAZ Parking, LLC PO Box 400 Crugers, NY 10521.

What is the process for a refund if the meter gave no refund slip?

Call 1-888-682-PARK.

Permit Parking Questions

Where can customers obtain parking permit applications?

When do permits start?

The first (1st) day of the month

Why do permit applications require a copy of vehicle registration(s)?

Vehicle registrations are required to verify that the vehicle information matches with the information on the application.

Why do permit applications require all information to match?

To ensure customer information as well as our records, are correct.

What is the procedure for changing the license plate on a permit?

Customers are required to hand in their old permit, along with a copy of the registration for the new plate. A temporary permit will be sent to the customer that should be placed in their windshield until their new permit arrives.

Are taxes included in the parking fees?

Yes, state and local taxes are included in the parking fees.

Is there a senior discount for parking?

No, there is no senior discount at this time.

Parking Notice Questions

How much is a Parking Notice?

Parking Notices vary based on the infraction. Parking Notices escalate for late payment and additional repeat infractions.

Who issues the Parking Notices?

Administrative Meter Enforcement Staff employed by LAZ Parking.

What will happen if a Parking Notice is not paid?

The fine escalates if it is not paid before 14 days elapse.

Where and how are Parking Notices disputed?

An administrative adjudication process is utilized. You must call the phone number on the back of the parking notice if you wish to dispute the notice.

How do I pay for a Parking Notice issued to my vehicle?

Parking Notices can be paid online. Enter your parking notice number or license plate number to pay your parking notices. Or Send payment with the parking notice (check or money order…no cash) to: LAZ Parking, LLC PO Box 400 Crugers, NY 10521.

Why can’t Parking Notices be paid or disputed at the Poughkeepsie Office?

For security reasons, handling of parking notices are held off site from our Poughkeepsie Office.
